GOLF

There are a number of golf courses located in the areas surrounding Eaglereach.  Your choice of location will depend on whether you wish to hire equipment and the standard of course you require or are used to.  Paterson and Dungog host small courses with 9 holes each, or you may wish to venture further to Maitland for an 18 hole course where hire equipment is available.  If you are looking for a plush course with excellent facilities, Hunter Valley Golf & Country Club may be more your style or The Vintage or Cypress Lakes Golf course might be the go.

FAMOUS WINE COUNTRY

 

 

Discover the Gresford Wine Trail! There are a number of Local Vineyards located at East Gresford which is only approx 20min drive from the Resort. These include Camyr Allyn Wines.  If you would like to travel further, to Pokolbin there are over 100 vineyards located in the Lower & Upper Hunter. Hunter Valley Wine Country can boast a staggering range of delicious Varietals and styles.  You can visit boutique wineries or taste the wide selection made by some of Australia's largest wine producers.  Brochures  maps and directions are  available at Reception, or why not take a tour*?

 

 

 

 

 

 

BUNNA BUNOO OLIVE GROVE

 

Bunna Bunoo is a family managed olive grove located on the Paterson River. Like the climate of Southern Italy where our family originated, the hot summers & cool crisp winters of the area are ideal conditions for cultivating olives that produce the finest olive oil. At Bunna Bunoo, our olives are harvested & processed within 24hrs. Generations of olive growing & processing have resulted in this unique & superior quality product. MORPETH

 

 Morpeth is a unique craft village in the Heart of the Hunter Region.At Multi Award Winning Campbell's Store Craft Centre, shopping is a real experience..... wander at your leisure through 13 speciality Craft Shops, Tearoom, and of course, Morpeth Gallery. In the Craft Center you may select from the work of 784 of Australia's most talented crafts people - all under the one roof. The Store is open from Thursday to Sunday, 10am - 5pm when you will be treated to Free Ginger Beer, Fudge & Honey Tasting.Friendly old fashioned service awaits you in this beautifully restored building. When you have finished looking around Campbell's Store, it's time to move on down the street - there are another forty specialist shops and tearooms to go! Morpeth is a historic village on the banks of the Hunter River where several Aussie icon businesses had their humble beginnings. Arnotts (biscuit fame), Brambles (transport), Soul Pattinson (chemist) and Sims (metal foundry).

TOCAL HOMESTEAD

 

 

Tocal Homestead is set among magnificent fig trees & overlooks the Tocal lagoon, with the Paterson River beyond. Built in 1841 as a country retreat for Felix Wilson, the house is only in a collection of fascinating buildings on the heritage site. Open every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday from March to November between 10.00am and 3.00pm, Tocal Homestead is a truly fascinating heritage that offers an uniquely rewarding visit. Entry includes an innovative audio tour. guided tours for groups are available all year round.

Tocal Homestead is steeped in history. Once one of the greatest cattle and horse studs in Australia, it has a history of human habitation spanning thousands of years from when it was home to the Gringai clan of the Wonnarua people.

 

 

 

CAMELOT LAVENDER FARM

 

 

 

This farm has over 20,000 lavender plants. Learn the difference between the plant varieties & see lavender oil being extracted using the in house still. It is fun, educational & you can purchase a sample of the extracted lavender oil. Best Devonshire teas in the Hunter Valley!!
